Georgia Keenan
Born in Dublin, raised over half my life in France to Irish parents, I have lived the immigrant situation through a privileged lens. On one hand, the understanding of not fitting in one place or another and the notion of home as people not place is something I have had to learn, and yet from the way I look, I have had the privilege of blending in and not appearing as an outsider in any place until I open my mouth.
I am a ceramic artist, it is a medium that brings me a lot of joy and a lot of peace, being neurospicy I get to experience a daily therapy through my practice. Clay teaches people patience and adaptability as you must listen and learn from it!
Culture and the notion of belonging have fascinated me from my own inner identity questioning. In a world where cultures are constantly coming into contact, where multiculturalism has become the norm, I think this is an important thing to reflect on and discuss.
